The command Search in the CAD Integration Menu performs a search after an already existing object in YaPlm. There are functionality to open, insert and replace the selected object into the CAD system.
To search for an object:
- Select the command Insert Search from the Component menu
The following dialogue is opened:
- Select a class to perform the search on, for example SolidWorks Part
- Enter one or more search criteria's
- Press Search, the search result is shown in the right column
 InsertTo Insert a Component into active assembly
- Perform a Search according to Search
- Mark the object to be inserted and then press the Insert button

 ReplaceThe command Replace in the integration menu replaces the selected model with another model.
To Replace a Component into active assembly
- Mark a component in the SolidWorks Assembly structure
- Perform a Search according to Search
- Mark the object to be replaced and then press the Replace button
