Part Factory in SolidEdge

To save a SolidEdge Part as Part Factory:
- Create /Open a SolidEdge Part with 'Family of Parts'
- Select the YaPlm - Save command in the integration menu
- Change the class to SolidEdge PartFactory and the press the OK button
The SolidEdge Part has now been saved as a Part Factory object in YaPlm
To Save Variants from a PartFactory Part
If a SolidEdge part is saved as a Part Factory object in YaPlm the variants can be saved as own objects linked to the Part Factory.
- Open a SolidEdge part of the YaPlm type Part Factory in SolidEdge
- Select the command YaPlm - Save Variant... in the integration menu
- The following dialogue is opened:
- Mark the variants to be saved
- Press the Save button
A new object for each variant has now been saved in YaPlm and linked to the Part Factory object
