Document Type and Document Category

 

Document Type's are objects which are linked to documents in order to further organize them in YaPlm. Each Document Type can control approval process behavior (e.g. number of approvers and reviewers required), linking behavior (e.g. which default link the document will have when it is linked to an Item), display behavior (e.g. icon and Document Category) among other things.

 

 

When a document is linked to an Item the document will automatically be displayed in the corresponding folder named after the Document Category when the document has a Document Type set belonging to a Document Category.
